Travis retired from the West Des Moines Police Department as the Assistant Chief after 31 years of service. During much of that time, he had the additional duty of being the department’s Homeland Decurity Coordinator and worked with businesses, schools, houses of worship and other government agencies on safety and security planning. He also served on the department’s SWAT team for 18 years.
When not prowling the church hallways, Travis enjoys golf and reading books about history (of all types) and science fiction. Travis is a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan so, though he is used to great disappointment, he is perpetually optimistic!
