The SOTV Care Ministry is designed to walk alongside people through every season of life. This ministry brings together several caring teams that support those who are hospitalized, homebound, recovering from illness or simply in need of support of some kind for a short time. Volunteers are welcome for all care teams, although some do require specific training. If you are interested in serving on one of our Care Ministry teams, please contact us HERE.
Hospital Care Team
The Hospital Care Team is a group of volunteers who serve as the hands and feet of Christ to those who are hospitalized. Through prayer, presence and encouragement, volunteers offer comfort and spiritual support to patients and their families during times of illness, surgery and recovery.
Homebound Ministry
The Homebound Ministry Team extends the love of Christ to those who are unable to attend church. Through regular visits, prayer, conversation and practical support, this team helps ensure that our homebound members remain spiritually connected, valued and cared for within our church family.

The Care and Connection Team volunteers build meaningful relationships through phone calls, prayer, friendly visits and practical help with potential needs, ensuring our members feel valued, supported and connected to the church community.

The SOTV Cancer Companions Ministry leads a series of Bible study and discussions for individuals experiencing cancer and/or family members/caregivers of those living with cancer. These meetings will be held on Zoom, and meet the second and third Thursdays of the month at 6:30 p.m. Please contact one of the individuals below if you or someone you know would be interested in devotions and discussions regarding holding Christ close during a cancer journey.

The Sunday Evening Prayer Team serves by leading and supporting intentional prayer across our church and community. Volunteers pray with and for others during the 10:30am service, host prayer walks and help facilitate prayer gatherings throughout the year. Training is provided to help team members grow in effective, confidential, Spirit-led prayer.

The Prayer Chain Ministry is a dedicated group of believers committed to lifting up prayer requests with faith, care, and compassion. Through timely prayer and spiritual support, the team helps ensure that no need goes unheard and that our church family is continually covered in prayer. Our SOTV family uses the group feature on our intra-church app, Realm Connect, for our church prayer chain. Any member with a Realm Connect account can join and post in the Prayer Chain group. Since Realm Connect is a closed system, this does provide a certain level of privacy for anyone who wishes to post a prayer. You can be notified of new prayers as they are posted, or just scroll through your newsfeed daily to see new prayer request posts. You can like or comment on a post to show your support.
