Today, we gathered on All Saints Sunday, a day that brings both beauty and heaviness. Mourning is exhausting; it wears on the soul, and sometimes it feels like it will never end. Yet, in the midst of our grief, Jesus meets us in the Beatitudes, especially in those first words: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Life in this world is marked by brokenness, loss, and the ever-present reality of death. Yet, in the midst of all that is falling apart, God calls us to a life that is rooted in what truly lasts. We are invited to live a “three-dimensional” life—upward in relationship with God, inward in relationship with one another, and outward in love and service to the world.

Grace is the foundation of our identity as God’s children. Jesus came, lived, suffered, died, and rose again to proclaim victory over our sin, and now, through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live out this new life. Ephesians 4 calls us to unity in the body of Christ, reminding us that grace is not just a personal gift but a calling to work together. Just as a physical body suffers when one part is injured, so too does the church when we are not unified or when we neglect the gifts God has given each of us.

What is God hiding? The better question is, “What has God revealed?” There is enough in searching out what He has revealed to us about Himself in Jesus to keep us busy for eternity. Our God is found in places we don’t expect… like a manger, a cross, and a tomb. His love an mercy is incredible.
